She was born in Manisa in 1974. She completed her primary education at Gördes Beş Eylül Primary School and secondary education at Izmir Girls’ High School. In 1991 she qualified to enter Boğaziçi University Department of Industrial Engineering. In 1994 she qualified to enter Ege University Faculty of Medicine. From 2000 she served as research assistant at the Faculty of Medicine for 6 years. During her years as a research assistant she worked as an observer on Lung Cancer in Heidelberg Thorax Clinic, Germany. She completed her specialty with the thesis “Comparison of high resolution computed tomography findings with clinical and laboratory findings in asthmatic patients over 5 years”. She worked in Adana Chest Diseases Hospital between 2006-2009 and as a  Chest Diseases specialist in Fethiye State Hospital between 2009 and 2012.
